This was our first hotel stay since the beginning of Covid and we were a bit anxious. We needn't have worried. Everything was great. There was lots of sanitiser and 2 metre markings so we felt very safe. The staff were so helpful and food was excelle

Lovely hotel. Staff very great and very helpful. Room was very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was quite tasty but the portions would not feed a child. This was the most disappointing aspect of our visit.

Description

Shearwater Hotel & Spa is a stunning recently renovated four-star hotel located off the M6 in Ballinasloe Co Galway. This hotel is centrally located just 90 minutes from Dublin, 15 minutes from Athlone and 35 minutes from Galway city, this hotel is RSVP’S Winner of Best Spa in Connaught Award 2018. Our Kidszone* operates during Midterms and Summer Breaks please check with the Hotel directly for further details. 

A range of activities are available near the  Shearwater Hotel, including golfing, clay pigeon shooting, fishing, horse riding and much more!

Note: Family Plus Rooms include a two bedroom family room with the following setup; One bedroom with a double bed and a separate bedroom with two single beds, the third child will be sleeping in a cot or camp bed provided by the hotel. Children’s meals are NOT included please note that payment for Children’s Breakfast and Dinner if selected in your rate plan will be charged at the property directly.
