All lovely , booked for the spa , sauna , asked to pay a fee . Which wasn’t clear to me , maybe that should be reiterated at booking

Stunning castle and location. Food was amazing, very enjoyable stay. Spa is gorgeous and well worth a visit.

Amazing stay. Staff so friendly and personal service. We ate in both restaurants and quality was excellent. We did Archery and availed of the spa. Couldn't have been be more happy with everything.

The Lodges at Kilkea Castle are situated in the countryside of County Kildare and are set in 180 acres of their own woodland and gardens. This 12th-century castle, Kilkea Castle is one of the oldest inhabited castles in Ireland with a history dating back to 1180, once the medieval stronghold of the FitzGerald’s, Earls of Kildare. Located in Castledermot, along Ireland's Ancient East and only an hours drive from Dublin. 

There are a lot of outdoor activities to choose from including an 18-hole Championship Golf Course, horse-riding, clay pigeon shooting, falconry, tennis, archery and fishing. The onsite spa has facilities such as a Thermal Suite with a Hydrotherapy Pool and a Beauty Lounge for hair, make-up and nails.
